How do you part ways with your horse after work when you take them back to the stall or the pasture? When you remove the halter, does your horse immediately slip their head out and walk away? Or do they wait calmly and stay with you? If it’s the first, then this is something to work on. After leading your horse back to the stall or pasture, pause for a moment, give them a gentle pat, and only remove the halter when they are standing calmly. Then, pet them again before stepping away.
